Focus on basic education
Singapore’s government education system is very similar to that of the UK, with English as the basic language of instruction and a reputation for strictness. The main body can be divided into four stages: six years of primary school, four to five years of secondary school, polytechnics or junior colleges, and then university. At the end of each stage of study, students must pass the corresponding examinations, i.e. PSLE, ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level, before entering the next stage of their studies.

Focus on developing one’s personality and stimulating potential
Singapore has many famous international schools, such as the United World Academy (UWC), Stanford American International School (SAIS), Tanglin Trust International School (TTS), Canada International School (CIS), etc.
Singapore’s international school education curriculum is mainly divided into three categories:
Created by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), International Baccalaureate (IB) offers four international baccalaureate programmes to students worldwide: PYP, MYP, IBDP and IBCP. These programs are now used in more than 100 countries and regions around the world.
Advanced Placement (AP) is a high school AP program sponsored and authorized by the College Board in advanced secondary schools in the United States and Canada. AP courses are comparable to American college courses and more in-depth, complex, and detailed than the average high school curriculum. Students who pass the AP exam will receive credits equal to those earned at a U.S. university.
The international general curriculum for secondary education (IGCSE), created by the University of Cambridge, is currently the most attended system for international students aged 14 to 16 and is part of the Cambridge global test (CIE). A basic course before entering A-Level international preparatory courses, IGCSE international senior high school courses are roughly equivalent to Chinese senior high school and senior high school courses in terms of length of schooling.
